PUBLIC MEETING
Proposed Closure of Kimpton Surgery
Green Room, Kimpton Memorial Hall
Wednesday 27 April, 6.30-7.30pm

As you may be aware, Bridge Cottage Surgery is proposing to close the branch surgery at Kimpton.

To give residents the opportunity to find out more about the proposal, Kimpton Parish Council is hosting a public meeting. Dr Pathmanathan, senior partner, will attend this meeting on behalf of Bridge Cottage Surgery.

This meeting is open to all residents but may be of particular interest to registered patients.

If the surgery does close, this is what the proposal may mean:

• All registered patients, including those who usually use the Kimpton branch, will be offered appointments at Bridge Cottage Surgery in Welwyn if they need to see a GP or a nurse

• Patients who decide not to remain registered with the practice will be supported and offered advice on how to re-register at a different practice in the local area

• Home visits will continue to be offered to frail and housebound patients

You can also share specific views or comments on the proposal by:

• Emailing general.bridgecottagesurgery@nhs.net, using the subject header ‘Closure proposal – feedback’

• Writing to: Debbie Crossley, Practice Manager, Bridge Cottage Surgery, 41 High Street, Welwyn AL6 9EF

• Contacting the Patient Participation Group, which represents patients at this surgery. The group can be contacted by email at ppgbridgecottage@gmail.com
