Become a Kimpton Parish Councillor
Do you care about Kimpton, Peter’s Green and Blackmore End? Do you want to make a long-lasting change? Do you have innovative ideas?
Due to a resignation, as the councillor is leaving the village, we have one vacancy for a parish councillor to serve until May 2022 and we will be filling this vacancy by co-option.
We need people from all backgrounds, locations and experience to reflect our community.
The best way to find out what it is like to be a parish councillor is to speak to one of the councillors; Neil Burns, Ian Corbett, Alex Firth, Carly Procter, Jon Marsh, Sue O’Brien and David Reavell to find out what they think of the role they do.

What does Kimpton Parish Council do?

We own the Recreation Ground, Parkfield Sports Ground, Village Greens in Kimpton and Peters Green and manage the Allotments and Wrens Close play area. We represent the views of the community on matters such as planning to North Herts District Council, Highways and Rights of Way to Hertfordshire County Council and crime prevention to the police. We organise the Kimpton Christmas Market and support numerous community projects and local organisations.
Get involved with the Kimpton Greening Campaign being launched!
