You are all cordially invited to join us at the Dacre Rooms on Friday 3rd December, 6-9pm, to kick off the weekend in style. We’ll have mulled wine, real ale and Christmas carols to bring the Christmas spirit to Kimpton. All proceeds will be shared between Kimpton Primary School and Kimpton Preschool so if any of our wonderful village bakers would like to donate savoury/Christmassy snacks to be sold alongside our festive drinks, we’d be very grateful. We look forward to seeing you there!
| 4 14:00 -18:00 04/12/2021 The team has met and agreed that we should hold a physical Kimpton Christmas Market this year. However, to accommodate the concerns relating to the Covid 19 pandemic a new approach has been taken when we will have a ‘walking’ market instead of marquees on The Green. Stall holders will be invited to get involved by having their stalls in the comfort of front gardens, drives or garages around the village. A trail map will be produced to assist shoppers in finding their personal favourite traders and entice them to visit new offerings. Get busy over the summer to stock up ready for this wonderful community festive event. Not only will craft stalls be set up, Kimpton PTA will be organising a special Christmas trail for children with stopping points including the opportunity of waving to the ‘special visitor’. We will continue to have our established food stalls spread out across various locations, bar operating from the Dacre Rooms, mulled wine in our special Kimpton mugs (new design for 2021) and Christmas music from local musicians to get us in the festive spirit. Following on from the success in 2020, our incredible ‘Light up Kimpton’ and lantern displays are to be organised for December and fully enjoyed when darkness falls. More details of other activities planned will be available in the autumn. Put the date in your diary now!!
