Luton Airport – petition to regulate night flights

A petition has come to the attention of the Parish Council which reflects the need to think of a contingency in the event that the planning application for the expansion of Luton Airport is accepted, whether by Luton Borough Council or by the Government.

Campaigners and local Councils may succeed in having the application called in by the Secretary of State, but it is feared that this will not make much difference to the outcome.  The need to petition for a reduction of night flights (and for Luton to be regulated) is spelt out by the groups campaigning against the expansion.

If you are in agreement with the need for regulation of night flights, then this will be a good place to start.
